NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams Sequel Was Originally An Xbox 360, PS3 Game

A little history, however fraught with implications, has emerged on the canvas. A short story concerning Sega, the Sonic Team, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams and Sonic Unleashed: The Curse of the Hedgehog. A story that we need to site TSSZ | News, specializing in news of the firm's blue hedgehog, which illuminates some choice of the publisher of a completely new light.

The story begins in 2007 on the blog Boss Rush held a Jpeg. Fairly well informed, the man confesses work in the video industry playful without discovering completely. Between small indiscretions, we quickly Jpeg that has access to fresh information. And then comes this great post on 28 March 2007 in which its readership Jpeg tonourishour considerations cynical about Sega and Sonic Team. At the time Sega has just confirmed lip development of a new episode of NiGHTS. And our precious infiltrated to inform us that the title in question was originally released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, to the resounding success as qu'inattendu of the Wii, Sega Sonic Team forced to redirect the rush on the Nintendo console. An injunction poorly experienced by Mr. Iizuka, head man of the studio.

Jpeg then shared his concerns about the quality of this new title, claiming a development planning extremely tight, "Consider this: the work has begun on the Wii around September or October 2006 (up here the game was in development for Xbox 360 and PS3 until these platforms are dropped against the wishes of Iizuka-san) and due out this fall / winter (2007, editor's note). Take into account that 4 to 6 weeks of waiting is needed after the submission of the product to Nintendo and you get an efficient development of roughly one year (code, not pre-production). "

The Sonic Team is once again forced to spawn a sequel botched. Worse, this is a severe blow to an icon of unspoiled commercial overexploitation, unlike Sonic. Disgusted by such practices, Jpeg we gave then a pathetic portrait of the Sonic Team today: "There is no doubt that the Sonic Team has lost its know-how. Worse than no talent, she is now without passion. Bored, tired of a narrow mind and out of the event without any sense of what makes a good game." Without animosity, Jpeg the stigmatizing effects of a degradation of the resources of this team to the production of unbridled Sonic of all kinds. Conclusion? "The Sonic Team is a relic of a bygone era that was too rested on its reputation. For the same reason marketing explained that his name had been retained (and dirty since) it must be disbanded - it may already be too late to NiGHTS (and I really hope that this is not the case and that it will come to return the situation, what with the passion of Iizuka-san for the project is a possibility), but for the image of the company for the future of other licenses prestigious and Sega for its iconic mascot, this must be done ... before they are brought out another game with a Sonic hedgehog transforming into evil creatures of the night skies of the loup-garou and able to extend his arms so Dhalsim. This happens, hold these words. "

A final prophecy before the final closure of the blog a month later (the man who probably suffered the wrath of his employer) and the disappearance of all the tickets mailed. Jpeg when we announced that players have discovered recently: Sonic Unleashed, which then Sega had never spoken, was doomed to defeat. The identity of this mysterious figure has remained secret until recently. The few reservations that we could make at the time have been swept since. Jpeg actually called Ben Andac now editor for the site idlethumbs, but at the time employed as a game by Sega Europe evaluator and Sony Europe. In sum, its only fault was to "assess" Sega games outside of its features!

Ditto, I would also not want it ...
But Sonic has lost value because of next-gen consoles ... it is a shame because on master system was a great game ...
