If you've played any of Telltale's other games, then you already know that we specialize in creating interactive entertainment experiences featuring strong characters, gameplay with a focus on storytelling, and an episodic release schedule. Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures will follow suit in all of these areas.
We strive to stay true to the source material, so you can expect Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures to feel uncannily similar to Aardman's animated films. Creative camerawork, intelligent humor, physical comedy, and a distinctive visual style will contribute to a cinematic experience that's true to the Wallace & Gromit animated stories Aardman has been producing for years. We're even building all sorts of new tech into our 3D engine, to make the characters and environments look as much like clay as possible. The best part is that in Telltale's games, you get to take an active role and drive the plot forward. So you won't just be an observer, but a participant in Wallace & Gromit's adventures!
Each game will have an original storyline developed by Telltale's writers in collaboration with Aardman, and as in the original animated films, much of the comedy will be physical and will evolve out of the strange scenarios the characters end up in. You'll get to play as both Wallace and Gromit in activities that include tinkering with crazy contraptions, embarking upon Wallace's wild entrepreneurial schemes, and finding your way out of the sticky situations that inevitably ensue.
Is this going to be a game for kids?
If you're a Wallace & Gromit fan, then you probably already know the answer to that! Wallace & Gromit has a wide appeal across all age groups, and our goal is to make a game that can be enjoyed by anyone who likes the humor and creativity of the Wallace & Gromit series. Adults and teens will enjoy the problem-solving scenarios and the high-brow humor. (Of course, the comedy is age appropriate for younger audiences, too, so the games will also be good for families to play together.)
If you're not already a Wallace & Gromit fan, think of Pixar's movies, which work for different audiences on different levels. If you're a fan of that kind of humor, you'll probably like these games!
