Valve has provided the sales figures in relation to games by her products. The statistics include all the episodes of Half-Life and Counter-Strike. According to Valve, the game sold most of its history remains the first Half-Life (1998) with 9.3 million copies sold worldwide.
Half-Life 2 (2004) stops, however, to 6.5 million copies. Below Counter-Strike (2000) with 4.2 million copies sold; and The Orange Box (package containing Half-Life 2, HL2: Episode One, HL2: Episode Two, Portal, Team Fortress issued last year) with 3 million copies.
Behind are Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (2004), with 2.9 million copies; Counter Strike: Source, 2.1 million copies; Counter-Strike for XBox (2003), 1.5 million copies; Half - Life 2: Episode One (2004), 1.4 million copies. Close the two expansions of the first Half-Life: opposing Force (1999) total 1.1 million copies sold, while Blue Shift (2001) stops at 800 thousand.
