FEAR 2: Another game banned in Australia

The department of local classification because it refused to include it in a category of complaint, making it actually illegal marketing of the game there.

In Australia, the category of highest censorship for video games is MA15 +, making it very difficult to classify products with violent content as Project Origin. For other types of media, such as movies and DVDs, the highest category of complaint is, however, R18 +.

Project Origin is the result of FEAR, in first person shooter developed by Monolith Productions and released in 2005. Continues the story of the predecessor, in which a team of Special Forces is sent to play a seemingly routine mission. An explosion of supernatural origin, however, struck the city of Auburn and a girl, the now famous Alma, unleashed its fury on the city.

The following introduces several innovations as a new graphics engine, new features of gameplay, the presence of an assault team that helps the player in his missions, a review of the geometry of the game levels, new multiplayer components and more. The gameplay remains focused on the so-called slow motion, while the tension, the elements spletter and dark spaces remain constant, as in the predecessor. FEAR 2: Project Origin will be released on February 13 in 2009 formed the PC, PlayStation 3 and XBox 360.

Re: FEAR 2: Another game banned in Australia

I wonder whether it is not just marketing or possession / import ...

if I were an Australian who wanted to play Fear 2 could order it on Play, Amazon, E-bay or what? in the case, I would be liable to any "punishment" "
