"Bethesda Softworks will follow the same path taken to Oblivion with the release during the months of downloadable content."
Bethesda announced today that it will release additional content for Fallout 3 from the month of January. These contents are for both the PC version of the game at that XBox 360, excluding however the PlayStation 3. For now Bethesda not express the prices of marketing.
The first content, available from January, will be called Operation: Anchorage, the second, The Pitt, will arrive in February, the third, Broken Steel, in March. Each package will introduce new quest, new items, new monsters and expand the story behind Fallout 3.
Bethesda will release a mod tool set for the PC version of the game. It called gecko (Garden of Eden Creation Kit) and will be issued during December. Allow users to create and modify any element of the game Fallout 3 as scenery, villages, objects, dialogs, characters, weapons, creatures.
Fallout 3 was launched in North America last October 28 and in Europe three days later. It is available in formats PC, PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 and has been highly successful business with more than 4.7 million copies sold in formats that are available. In the first week of marketing, Bethesda has registered revenues for more than 300 million dollars. The software house that has also taken care of Oblivion is currently working on a patch for Fallout 3.
