Unable to launch Call of Duty World At War on PC

I just installed Call of Duty World At War on my PC. But when I start the game, it plants after 3-4secondes. And the Windows (Vista) tells me that the game crashed. I installed the latest patch released on 11 November but does nothing, the game still plant at startup.
So I turn to you

I don't know about vista, but I think I have seen some part that run by right-clicking on the icon and choose after administrator mode.

Give us the error message that appears when you start the game .
What is your model of video card?
Do the drivers of the video card is up to date?

Hi. I am running XP with a 6800gt and 1Gb ram dual 3ghz processors.I have successfully installed the game but after the intro it just crashes to the desktop. I have tried updating all drivers and reinstalling but still the same result. HELP!!

What PSU do you have? It might be a overheating problem at the time when you are launching the game. You might also need an updated patch for the game, so try searching it from google. Can you also tell us that you are able to play all games properly except for the Call of Duty World At War?

The PSU is fine,,,no over heating 400W. All other games work just fine.

Most probably, it seems that the problem is with your game (Game CD)and not your system hardware. Have you tried reinstalling the game ? try any other game CD. Also you should try playing the game after disabling the Antivirus. If still there is problem than, Uninstall all NET. Framework packs. And after rebooting the system , install .NET Framework 3.5. Again restart the pc and run the game. this should help.

I had faced a similar issue with Max Payne 2. I had successfully installed the game in my friend system who is using Windows XP. The game installed properly with no error. When I run it shows some intro movie which I skipped by pressing Space. But after sometime the entire system hanged and the game crashed. After some searching I found that he is using Pirated Windows XP. On the same hand the game worked well on my Windows 7 system.

nope...that didnt work either. And my windows is genuine. I Have reinstalled several times. disabled all antivirus, even shut down firewalls. As I said previously I did install it on an older system which doesnt meet the minimum requirements and it ran fine on that apart from extreme lag, so it cant be the game CD.
