Problem with far cry 2

I purchased the game far cry2, it installed correctly but the application does not initialize properly it gives error like "0xc000001d"
But why? Any suggestions will be helpful thank you

Its Windows XP 1GB RAM,3.06 GHz, ASUS 945-with 256Mb onboard gfx.

Minimal: PIV 3.2Ghz, 1GB of RAM (2MB under Vista), 256 MB card compatible 3D shaders 3.0, Win XP (SP2) / Vista (SP1),
configuration advised: Core 2 Duo processor, 2 GB of RAM, 512 MB card 3D

may be your onboard gfx doesn't support the sharer 3.0
