This is a very strange announcement while Fallout 3 is not even marketed! Through some comments by Todd Howard, executive producer of the game, and clarifications provided by Peter Hines, Bethesda has already begun to talk about later Fallout 4.
By reflecting, it is hardly surprising and we doubt that Bethesda is working more or less already in various projects. License of Fallout, it was surprising that the studio would go. Todd Howard and Peter Hines have of course argued anything concrete, but it appears from their statements that Bethesda seems to be stalling over an interval of three years between Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.
For the next part, Todd Howard had initially indicated that the ten years between Fallout 2 and Fallout 3 is far too long ... Hence the title of 2018 of our brief!
