Activision an an American video game developer and publisher has confirmed that it is working on a new tactical first person shooter that will us in the role of an elite agent tasked with protecting America's leadership.
The game puts players into the president's security detail on Inauguration Day, right as the capitol comes under attack from unknown parties. Activision is promising a twisting story that will require players to kill and/or subdue threats as they attempt to ferret out the reasons behind the attacks and the people responsible.
Secret Service features story and level design contributions by Daniel Arey, who previously worked on Uncharted, the Jak series and the Crash Bandicoot series.
“This game is a unique addition to the first person action genre, with a rich storyline set across famous locations and the need to use both lethal and non-lethal force to achieve your objectives,” said Dave Oxford, Activision Publishing. “Secret Service brings a nice refreshing spin to fans of run-and-gun games.”
Activision's Secret Service will release later this year for $39.99 on the Xbox 360, $29.99 on PS2, and $19.99 on PC. The game has not been authorized by the actual US Secret Service.
