Images of the future environment of Entropia Universe are finally available

More than a year after the announcement of Mindark revealing his contract with Crytek, the creator of Far Cry and Crysis, the first images of the future environment of Entropia Universe are finally available. Originally scheduled for summer 2008, this update of the virtual world of the Swedish firm, which must incorporate many innovations 3D (vegetation dynamic lighting ...), is still awaited.

Launched in 2003, Entropia Universe (EU), a virtual world type MMORPG whose access is free, has like many others, its own virtual currency, the DEP (0.1 USD). It is thus possible to make money in the game and then convert it into real money. This platform, both for the game, but also, according to Mindark, other types of services such as e-commerce, e-marketing and online conferences, now boasts 765,299 participants from 200 countries.

In addition to these services and like one of its competitors Second Life Linden Lab, EU is primarily a sort of social network and a platform for free development of virtual worlds, tools that are proliferating.
