Nintendo Announces Wii/DS WiFi Router !

Nintendo has announced a "Nintendo WiFi Network Adapter" for the Nintendo Wii... which already has WiFi. While some users have difficulty getting their Wii consoles online, this should hopefully streamline that. The adaptor will go on sale September 18th in Japan for ¥5,800 (US$53) on Nintendo's homepage. This wireless LAN router can be used with the Nintendo Wii and DS as well as PCs and other devices.



This product is, Wii, Nintendo DS makes it easy to connect to the Internet wireless LAN routers, Of course, PC and other equipment can be used. The DS and Wii already have Wi-Fi. This unit is actually a Wi-Fi router/bridge for those who don't already have wireless networks in the first place. Available in Japan on September 18th for $53, it looks a horrible Wii knockoff that you'd buy from a shady store in Akihabara. Kudos to Nintendo for making the process easier for Nentendo Wiii producers everywhere

It can work as a stand-alone router or as a network bridge, sitting between your router and Wii. We lack the specific stats, though, like if it works with 802.11n or anything.
