As far as i know the largest partition size under Fat32 that Windows 98 can run is 137GB. Am not sure about this but this is what I heard somewhere. I think you can use larger drives as well on Win98 or fat 32 system but you will need a third party tool to replace scandisk and defrag. The one I know best for the same is Win98 version of Norton. You can get more info about the same in this Microsoft Article: Limitations of FAT32 File System |
