How to stop automatic page refresh (IE6) on Drudgereport.com ?

I am with Windows 98 running Internet Explorer 6 for browsing web. As my title says, whenever I vista that site, my browser keeps on refreshing the page every minute. As far as I have tried going to Internet Explorer Tools, clicked on Internet Option, clicked Security and under Custom level Settings I set "Allow Meta Refresh" to Disabled.

But still facing the same problem. Can anyone of you please tell me what is the problem and how can I fix the same?

I guess the problem is JavaScript. It would have been set to refresh the pages every 180 seconds. No matter if you have put that site under restricted sites and JavaScript is disabled, that site will still work ok. The only thing I can suggest you is for all such sites where the pages refresh automatically, use other web browser such as Mozilla.

I too was facing exactly the same problem with IE couple of months ago. After doing lots of searches and troubleshooting at last I came through a Symantec's NoScript.exe that provides you a solution but that is just temporary. If you want you can download it from here. As till i was getting problems, finally I switched my browser to Mozilla and am happy to browse now.

The only solution for the same is to turn off JavaScript. And if still you guys are facing than whats the need to being stuck with OE? Why donít you guys just change your browser? Better download Opera or Firefox and enjoy.
