| How do I disable Javascript in outlook express Windows 98se?
How do I disable Javascript in outlook express Windows 98se? For some reason, the other isp think my email is spam? The reason it shown X pop-Js and the other isp filter thinks it is spam. They did recommend disabling java script in the restricted section in Internet explorer. However, there is not an option in Internet explorer to disable java script. Me/XP may have it, but 98se does not have that checkbox. This may also be do to the fact, I have sun java installed instead of msjava. Greg P |

You can disable Java scripting there. Above that: "Active Scripting" is the one that should be disabled in the Restricted zone. It is what is referred to as Javascript. Scripting of Java Applets has nothing to do with Javascript. Javascript and Java are not related. -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Shell/User, A+ http://dts-l.net/ http://dts-l.net/goodpost.htm |

By default, Outlook Express is set to use the Restricted sites zone of IE, and if that zone in IE is set to the default setting of High, these options will already be disabled. To check that Outlook Express is set to the Restricted sites zone, in OE click the Tools menu> Options> Security tab. To check the settings of the restricted zone in Internet Explorer, in IE click the Tools menu> Internet Options> Security tab> Restricted sites icon, and set the Security level to Default Level. -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Shell/User, A+ http://dts-l.net/ http://dts-l.net/goodpost.htm |
