Tips to optimize AMD Catalyst for better graphics

This short guide is for those who are using AMD graphic card. There number of different settings available in AMD Catalyst control center. You can optimize it to get the best graphic experience. There are few settings mention below. ATI Catalyst Control Center aka AMD Vision Engine Control Center, offers you a complete set of features to control your screen output. Ample of time even after having the most high end card you are not happy with the display. There can be poor video or lagging performance. What most people do is go for a driver update. But that is not the only thing. There are few set of things you have to enable. First thing you have to do is get the most latest version of AMD Catalyst Control Center. The current edition is 11.10. The new edition comes with new display driver, Hydravision and xp driver. If you are having a old gpu then before moving ahead go on the official site and checkout the supported gpu. So that you do not face any error later on. Just search AMD Catalyst on Google and you will get a link of support document. Read it and checkout that your gpu is listed on it. If not then you can avoid the update and still use the below settings to optimize the screen output.

Enhancing Gaming Resolution : With few settings you can also improve the gaming output. If you think the screen output is poor then you can make it better. Through control center you can tuneup the screen display and also boost the performance. For in control center you have to go in Preferences > Advance View > Gaming > 3D Application > Application Settings. Add a tick on Smooth vision HD Anti-Aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering and AMD Optimized. That's all.

Video Stabilization : In games a number of time the video is shaky. Due to which it is complicated to concentrate at some point. Through AMD Catalyst control center you can stabilize those images to get a more proper look. It comes with AMD Steady Video Technology. This technology can stabilize all shaking videos and make them firm. It works well with many videos also. To enable that you have to goin AMD Catalyst Control Center. In that click on Preferences button and click on Advance View. From the left select video and enable AMD Steady Video Control. That's it. Leave it on default settings.

Enhancing Internet Video Quality: AMD Catalyst Control Center also offers you a good option to control and enhance the quality of internet videos. Like the one you watch on YouTube. This enhancement simply accelerate the visual quality giving out more better and clear picture. HD clarity is simply great. To enable it you have to go in Preference and click on Advance view. There look for Video Menu and click on Video Settings. Then click on Video Playback and turn on both the settings below. The first one is for smooth video play back and other one is to enhance the quality.

Enhancing the Graphic Performance: For better gaming experience many people use dual graphic card. Dual graphics adds more to the performance. Here first ensure that you have the latest DirectX version installed in your system. So that you can play games at much higher resolution. If you are planing to improve your graphic output then itis better to choose two gpu. For that you have to first go on the official site and choose the right gpu so that there is no compatibility problem. Then go in control center first and from the left menu select performance. Enable AMD CrossFire. Download and install the latest edition of AMD Catalyst Application Profile. Which you can find on the official website. Now once it is installed turn off Crossfire and shutdown the pc. Add the card and then turn it on back.

Using Multiple Desktop : Catalyst Control Center comes with Hydravision. This simply control multiple desktop offering you a more bigger work space. The technology is efficient enough to give you a clear view and hd resolution on different screens. To enable that go in Hydra Vision in control center. If it is not available then you can download that from official site or just update Catalyst Control Center. Choose HydraGrid and choose Desktop Manager. You can simply configure the screen window here. under Multi Desktop you can simply configure around 9 virtual desktop.

That was bit helpful. I always keep everything on default settings. The graphic performance part was really helpful here. I was able to get a optimum output from the same. I had not yet tested multiple monitor on my system. I am willing to play game on more bigger resolution.
