Xperia series have been most successful series of smartphones for the Sony Brand and the best smartphone so far is the Xperia Z and ZR. It is because of the several enhancement and new features embedded with the phones. Lets find out how you can make most out of the waterproof and dust resistance Xperia Z phone.

Battery Backup:

By default the battery backup of Xperia Z is awesome. It works over 12 hours in usage mode no matter you are connected to 3G or WiFi, browsing web or enjoying your multimedia content. But in case you feel short of the battery, Sony has provided few options under settings which can increase your battery life in critical cases where you are running out of the battery and there is no source for charging.

Stamina Mode

First is the Stamina Mode which disables your WiFi, 3G and 2G connections when the screen turns off. Simultaneously it also disables the applications which uses your data so that they dont keep searching for data and eating up battery. In case you want to keep some specific app running even when the screen is off, you can simply add them by going into this Mode's settings.

Low Battery Mode

Second comes the "Low Battery Mode", it increases your battery life by disabling all connectivity options including wifi, 3g, gps, auto sync, etc along with vibration, screen brightness and all that consumes your battery. If you want you can keep this option enabled 24/7 because you can set a specific percentage of battery level when this mode should be activated.

Location Based WiFi

This is the third option provided for improving your battery life. Once you activate the "Location Based WiFi" Mode, no matter you keep your WiFi turned off 24/7, it will automatically connect the WiFi access point which is saved on your phone. In other words, as soon as you reach in the known WiFi zone (Office or Home for example), phone will automatically connect the wifi. Wondering how does it helps? Well, many times we forget to turn off the wifi while leaving from home or office where we use the WiFi, and the phone keeps on searching for wireless networks regularly wherever we go. This keeps consuming your battery.
