Windows 8 is launched in various builds all over the world. For every build of DVD Covers of Windows 8 a different cover is designed. Let us take a look at the different covers of Windows 8 that are available all over the world of various built.
Windows 8 Build 7850
This was the one of the initial versions of the Windows 8. The cover of DVD of Windows 8 was of darker shade of blue with Windows Logo on the front side and Windows 8 Enterprise written below it. On the back side were some summary, instructions and other details of Windows 8. Here it is how it looks,
Windows 8 Build 7955
This edition of Windows 8 also has somewhat similar cover as that of Windows 8 Build 7850. The only difference here is that the ‘8’ in the name on the front side is simple in style and looks. Also the back side of the cover has different screen shots than the previous version. Here it is,
Windows 8 Build 7959
This edition of Windows 8 is meant for PCs with 64-bit architecture. Also this version was designed to support the server. You can see on the front side of the cover of this edition that ‘8’ in the name of product is again made decorative and colorful. Also there is ‘Server Edition’ mentioned on it. The back side of this pack has again a different screenshot.
Windows 8 Build 7989
This version of Windows 8 has two different covers to it. I don’t know why this difference was made. This build is meant only for PCs which have 64-bit architecture in it. Here on the front side we can see that ‘8’ in the name of the product is again switched to simpler format. On the back side of the covers, there are now 6 screenshots. The main differences among these covers are the background color. One has dark blue with some design on it, while the other has pitch black background. On the black cover, you can see some fading in circular shape behind the logo.
Windows 8 Build 8102
As you can see, there has been a great difference in the cover of Windows 8 with build 8102. The cover is now completely white with a big diagonal green strip on it. This version of Windows 8 is meant for both 32-bit and 64-bit PCs. Actually this version is the developer’s preview. You can also see that the back cover of this pack has screenshot of Metro UI. This version also has two different types of covers. Once cover has Big Windows logo above the name while other doesn’t have it.
Change in Logo
From here the logo of Windows was changed. From the usual wavy logo, the logo for Windows was changed to rectangular boxes which were turned backwards in perspective. This a major change in the logo that made headlines.
Windows 8 Build 8250
This pack came out with a changed logo and again making a major change in cover from the previous one. The cover has a white background with strip of Metro tiles in middle. On the front side you can see Windows 8 consumer preview written in green tile with three tiles colored in red, yellow and blue. On the back side you will see four screenshots of Windows 8 arranged in format of Windows 8’s new logo. There are some specifications and other text on the back side of the cover.
Windows 8 Build 8400
This version of Windows 8 has almost similar cover as the previous version. The only difference occurs is in the front side of this cover where the name ‘Windows 8’ is now placed in blue colored tile. This version is the release preview. Also the screenshot on the back side are more in number and arranged in progression.
Windows 8 Build 9200
This is the latest version of Windows 8 available in market. This DVD pack has the most beautiful and a unique cover. It has most of its part in white with Windows 8 logo on it having various colors in it. Also the back side is different than others. I think it is better if you take a look at this cover for yourself.
Depending on the language for which you buy Windows 8, the text on the DVD covers of it will change. The languages in which Windows 8 will be available and the text on the cover will change are Croatian, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. This variety in languages will not be available in all versions.
