Zynga recently announced a list of new social games that will be soon launched on Facebook for social gaming. The names that were included in this list are Farmville 2, Chefville, TheVille and Bubble Safari. After launch of Bubble safari, it went on to become huge hit. The game combines the color matching and bubble bursting game with new point system and combo creating system. You will be given certain amount of energy using which you have to play games. Bursting bubbles and creating combos will give you points which will raise your high score.
The game screen will consist of a shooter holding cannon with colored bubbles in it. You have to aim the cannon using the mouse and moving it sideways. You have to match three bubbles of same color to bursts them and get points. You have to shoot the bubbles using the left click of the mouse. The walls at the edges of the screen will end as the bouncing place for the bubbles. You can bounce the bubbles off the wall to make them reach the close places where the bubble cannot be shot directly. You will be given two bubbles at a time. They can be of same color as well as of different color. You can switch the bubbles by pressing spacebar from your keyboard. To finish a level, you will have to finish all the 10 bubbles in the last row at the top of the game screen.
On the right hand of the game screen, you will notice a bar which remains empty at the start of the game. As you go on bursting the bubbles, this bar will start filling. As the bar completely fills up, you will receive a star for it. For proceeding into next level, you need at least one star. If you achieve all the 3 stars in a level, you will be awarded some coins as bonus. There will be three baskets placed in front of the shooter. You need to drop fruits into these baskets to earn bonus points. Now many people had doubt that where the fruits come from, some said that they are randomly generated, some said that certain bubbles consist fruit and many such opinions. But let me tell you that the fruits are generated when you break the link between two colored bubbles. For example, there are some yellow bubbles and on right side of it are blue bubbles. Below the blue bubbles are red bubbles. So here, red bubbles are connected to the yellow bubbles via blue bubbles. Bursting the blue bubble will lead to breaking of the link and thus generate fruits. As you keep bursting the bubbles, there will be hummingbirds getting attracted. You have to keep these hummingbirds attracted to increase the amount of points you gain. If you miss any shot, the hummingbirds will go away. If you gain the fruits three times in a row, you will earn bubbles on fire. These bubbles will go on destroying every bubble that comes in their way.
There is another mini game inside this game called bubble spin where you will be given to play once in a day. If you spin it and you are lucky, then you will get bonus bubble. You might get fire bubble, fire bubble or any other bubble. The bubbles that you will find as bonus are,
1) Rainbow bubble: This bubble will change to color of that bubble which it touches.
2) Paint bubble: This will change the color of the bubble to one color where it touches.
3) Coconut bubble: This bubble will burst multiple bubbles from the place where it touches.
4) Steel Bubble: It is similar to coconut bubble, but is bit stronger. It works in same way as of coconut bubble.
5) Sticky bomb bubble: It will stick in some part of the bubbles and then blast after three turns. This is helpful to bring down some small amount of bubbles.
6) Electric bubble: This bubble fires a powerful beam of electricity. This beam destroys every bubble that comes in its path.
Also you will find a power-up store in this game that will help you to purchase the power-ups in exchange of in-game coins or real money. The powers that you will find in this game are,
1) Undo: You can use this power to undo the last move you performed. This can be used once in every game.
2) +2 friends: This power-up will give two extra friends slots to add your friends. You can exchange bubble with these friends.
3) Level Peak: This power will enable you to take a look at the level’s bubble format and find out what group of bubbles you will be facing.
4) +6 bubbles: This will give you 6 more bubbles.
5) Starting birds: This power-up will let you have three humming birds when the game starts.
6) Extended Aim: This power-up will let you see a longer aim line. Helpful when taking difficult shots especially when bouncing the bubbles off the wall.
7) Extra Fire: With this power-up, you will get one fire bubble which can be used one per game whenever need arises.
8) Beehive: This will save the shooter from 3 bee attacks.
9) Spawner: With this power-up, the hummingbirds will temporarily disable the spawners.
10) Vine Wither: With this power-up, 2 hummingbirds will fly up to wither the vines.
In Bubble safari, you will also encounter certain dangerous things that will disturb the game in certain manner. You should avoid these dangerous items to save yourself from wasting chances as well as complete level with maximum points. These dangerous items can be also being destroyed.
1) The first such dangerous item you will encounter is the Beehive. If you burst the bubbles that are connected to the beehive, it will be disturbed and fall into the basket. After the bees attack, your shooter will shoot three bubbles randomly.
2) The spawners are another dangerous thing you will encounter in this game. They will try to disturb the flow of the game by spawning randomly colored bubble after every turn. You have to plan your shots if you want to tackle the spawner.
3) Poacher’s trap is most dangerous of these unwanted items. It gives a sudden death. It looks like a bear trap, shoot a bubble in it and the level ends.
4) Another unwanted thing that comes in the bubble safari are the rotten fruits. They will be seen in a group and breaking the link and dropping them in the basket will result in reduction of point. If you drop them in group, they will reduce points in combo.
5) The vines will cover the bubbles and stops the shooter from bursting them. The vines will engulf the bubble slowly. They will try to break the link of the color combination. While the vine is engulfing an bubble, just burst the half exposed bubble to revert back its action.
6) Another dangerous item is a blossoming flower. It looks like a semi-grown flower. This cannot be judged as an dangerous item as it might help you too. It goes on changing colors of the bubbles around it. Sometime it might change color to your advantage or sometimes to your disadvantage.
There is a multiplayer mode too available in this game. Here you will be paired against three of your friends for a match. You all will be given 90 seconds for one match. You have to burst as many bubbles as possible. Here you can either go on creating combos for you or them to break the link of color bubbles of your friend. This mode can be played among four players that are in your friend list. The rule of the game remains same in the multiplayer mode and this mode is available to play only from Zynga.com.
Some tips I’d like to give you about this game is that as you proceed in levels, you will need to think more as well as be quick. When you come across the poacher’s trap, try to hit it first so that it remains close for many turns. When closed, burst all the bubbles around it. Try to get the extended aimer as soon as you can, it makes the game very easy. As soon as the bees start attacking you, you should attack their hive and drop it to the ground; this will take the bees away from you. Also use the bubbles sent to you by friends. Accepting bubbles a friend regularly will give you bonus bubbles after some consecutive accepts.
