Using a preset scene

The HTC One X already has preset scenes. Each scene has a different background image and a different selection of widgets that are suitable for different situations. It is possible that you can select a scene that is suitable for work, leisure, travel, or your social life.

For this you have to push on the alert box and then click on gear icon in that you will see Personalize. Now there you will see scene just select that, now you just need to Swipe your finger from right to left across the display to the desired scene. And after you have selected the scene just apply it.

How to create a new scene

For this you need to start with a blank page when you create a new scene. Now you just have to Slide the Notifications panel and select the gear icon there you will find Personalize option select that. Now tap the Display tab on scene. And select a new scene. Now you can just enter a new name as per your requirement and then select done. Now you will see the scene and there you can add widgets and applications change the background and so on. All changes are automatically saved in the scene.

How to renaming a scene

For renaming the scene as I have mentioned before just Slide the Notifications panel and select the gear icon there you will find Personalize option select that. Now tap the Display tab on scene. Now just by moving your figure on the screen select the screen you want to rename. Now you need to just click and hold the scene thumbnail and then just click Rename. Now it will ask you to enter a new name there you will have to add a new name you require and click done.

Now tap the Display tab on scene. Now just by moving your figure on the screen select the screen you want to delete. And just select Delete option it will delete the scene you have selected.

How to change the wallpaper on HTC One X

For doing this you can select any wallpaper you want for your home page. You can always select the available wallpapers or even you can select any photo you like which you have clicked using your camera in your phone. Here also you have to follow the same steps as mentioned before you need to go up to personalize and there you will find wallpaper just select that and you will find three different option one would be where it will ask you to select a photo from your gallery, other option will be to select a photo from HTC wallpapers and the third option is Live Wallpapers in that you can select any live wallpapers and you can just check how it looks by selecting preview option and if you like it and would like to save it just select the wallpaper and select apply. After doing this you just need to save and apply, and your wallpaper would be displayed which you have selected.

How to apply a new Skin

For this you need to personalize outside the originally home screen just by applying a new skin. Let me tell that skins give a special look and experience the common on screen buttons, even the application screen, selection menus, and many more different things.

Personalizing your Home screen with widgets

Widgets put important information and experience on your Home screen. Some widgets are for your convenience has been added to your home screen. You can add more from the available selection of widgets.

How to add a Widget on your home screen.

For adding a new Widget on your home screen you just have to press and hold on an empty space on your home screen. Now in the Widgets screen you can just go from left to right by scrolling through all the widgets. If you want a specific Widget you can always click on magnify icon and type the widget name or just select all widgets to choose from a selection menu. Note: Some widgets are available in different styles and sizes. Drag a widget to a thumbnail of an initial screen where you want to add. You can even add any widgets that let you to quickly convinced settings can switch on or off, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. For doing that just select all widgets in that you will see Settings and then just select on the preferred widget.

The basic settings of some widgets (such as Contacts and Mail) you from the start screen. For that keep a widget on the home screen button and then drag it to gear icon (settings). Applications and other shortcuts on the Home screen

Place frequently used applications on the home screen. You can also add shortcuts to frequently used settings, web pages, bookmarks and many more. Keep an empty space on the home screen button. Select the tab apps or shortcuts or an application or shortcut you want to add. Just keep in mind: To add an application, you can also select the main menu button, there just hold any application, and then drag it to any empty place on the Home screen.

Change the order of widgets and icons on the Home screen or delete them On the main screen you can easily create a widget or icon from one screen to another. Keep the widget or icon with a finger pressed. Wipe with another finger to the left or right to the screen to another window of the home screen to move. Allow the widget or icon button. The widget or icon to another position on the window to move, you can drag it.

Remove widget or icon

Hold the button widget or icon you want to delete and then drag it to the delete option. When the widget or icon turns red, you can leave your finger.

Adjust the launch bar

Grouping applications in a folder

Use folders to applications on the start bar, or home screen to group, so you free up space for more applications. Keep an application and drag it to another application and which will automatically create a folder. Select the folder to open it then click on plus icon. Select one or more applications to the folder you want to add. Now just select add.
Note: You may even add shortcuts to settings or information. First you need to add a shortcut to the Home screen and after that you have to drag it to the folder.

How to rename a folder

For renaming a folder you just have to click any folder and open it. Then select the title bar of the folder. There you can add a new name to that folder. Now to close it you just have to click anywhere outside the folder which will close it.

How to remove items form a folder

Select the folder to open it. Keep an application or shortcut and drag it to the home screen, or drag them away to delete icon so that it can be removed. Repeat this process to more parts from the folder. If the folder contains only a part, gets the folder path and the latter component also removes itself.

The initial screen reordering

Rearrange the windows of the Home screen any way you find easiest to use. For example, move the windows of commonly used widgets, shortcuts and folders closer to the home screen. Squeeze on the home screen to the Leap-view. Keep the thumbnail of the home screen button that you want to move. The HTC One X to vibrate. Just don’t lift your figure. Drag the thumbnail to the new position and remove your finger.

Customize with sound set

Each sound set contains a dissimilar combination of sounds for your ringtone and notifications such as incoming messages, e-mail reminders for calendar events, etc. By changing among sound sets, you can instantaneously make HTC One X ring or alert with amazing sounds if you are not at work or you can even change to restrained sounds while you are working in office.

How to create a set of sounds

Slide the notification window open and then select gear icon there you will find Customize option. Touch the Sound tab on Sound Series. From the window on Sound Sets just click on plus icon. Enter a name for the new sound system and select done. The new sound system is added to the list of sound sets. You can assign different tones to the sound system of your choice.

How to change ringtone, notification and sound

Slide the notification window open and then select gear icon there you will find customize option. Touch the Sound tab on Sound Series. Choose a sound system you wish to modify or create a new, and select apply. You can also change the ringtone, the sound for notification and even alarms tone. HTC One X saves your choice automatically in the current sound system.

How to delete sound sets

Slide the notification window open and then select gear icon there you will find customize option. Touch the Sound tab on Sound Series. Now select delete icon. Now you just have to choose as many sound sets you want to delete and after doing that just select Delete.

How to rearrange application tabs

You can reorder the tabs at the bottom of some applications to change the priority to change the type of information that you use often. You can also add or remove tabs. Open an application that the usual tabs at the bottom of the screen. Keep the current tab key until the screen changes and displays a message about changing the order of tabs. You can even change the order of your existing tabs. For that you just have to press and hold a tab, after doing that you just have to drag it to any new position. After doing that in order to add or Remove the tab you will need to drag it in or out of the bottom row. After you have finished just select the less then arrow key.

How to customize the lock screen style

Slide the notification window open and then select gear icon there you will find Personalize option. On the Display tab, tap Lock Screen Style. Slide your finger left or right to select the Lock style. Click the style for the lock to a preview screen. If you want to customize it further, click Settings. Now just click on apply button.
Tips: Shortcuts which are displayed on the lock screen are basically same as the applications in your Home Screen. To change them, you have the applications in the start bar replacement.

How to secure HTC One X with personal touch

Very easy to unlock your phone. Protect your personal information and prevent to see your information on your HTC One X without your permission to use a password. Slide the notification window open and then select gear icon there you will find security option. There you have to select screen lock. Inside that you will find Face unlock. Now you just have to click Continue and then just follow the instructions on the screen. You just have to select a backup lock if by any chance your phone does not recognize you. Click Lock phone after, and specify how much time of inactivity the screen should be locked.
