Installing KeePass Password Safe on Ubuntu or Debian-Based Linux System

If you were having some problems installing KeePass Password Safe 2 in your system. Then here is some method for you to work on. There are two methods that I would be telling one is by step by step installation and the other is command line installation. So lets begin up

    Method 1

    1) Open up the Ubuntu Software Center and then go to Edit Menu, and select Software Sources.

    2) Now go to the other software tab in the Software Sources Window and add the PPA which is given in the below given image. You don’t have to worry about the second PPA because it will get added automatically.

    3) After having setup the PPA, go back to the Ubuntu Software Center on the left hand side you will find PPA listing for KeePass 2. There will also be a listing just below it. click on the install button.

    4) Once you are done with the installation. You will be able to find it in the accessories list.

    Method 2

Now this method is for those who don’t like step by step installation and only will go with the command line installation. So here is the following code for you all. Hope it works

    Code:
    sudo apt-add-repository ppa:jtaylor/keepass
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install keepass2
so these were the 2 methods to install KeePass Password Safe on your ubuntu system.
