Tips to Add Google Docs and Google Calendar in Gmail Sidebar

One can now customize their Gmail Account in the way they want and add various other features like Additional Smiley Codes, Preview Pane ,images in text body etc, as the Google docs and Google Calendar has been introduced by Gmail one can just enable and view the same as sidebar widgets in their account, this can be very handy for the people who spend ample time on Gmail, here the Google Calendar will act like an alarm after setting up meetings, events, details etc. Whereas in the Google Docs one can just see all the starred mark, recently viewed documents and all, below is the simple process for adding Google Docs and Google Calendar in Gmail Sidebar.

• First login in to your gmail account and then open Mail Settings and then click on Labs Tab

• After that scroll down and check out for the Google Docs Gadget and Google Calendar Gadget, they will be adjacent to each other. When you find them then just select the Enable radio for both of them and then make sure that you are saving the changes.

• When you are done with the above steps then you will be getting both the gadgets in the left sidebar.

You can further just refresh the main page and after that you will get an option for setting/viewing and Adding/viewing the Doc files that you want.
There are some third party services providing these gadgets but then the graphical interface does not appear to be user friendly.

Nice sharing. I mostly use Google Docs and Google calender for different projects. I was thinking about this way, and now I got it today. Thanks for sharing.
