How to Boost Performance of Samsung Galaxy S

Nowadays Android Smartphone is the important part of the life. According to its owner, the life of the smartphone may vary. Indeed, as the mobile computer needs to be maintained. In the rest of this entry, I propose to reconsider the action to be taken regularly to keep your Android phone as good as ever.

    Remove unnecessary applications:
From experience, I realized that having a lot of applications installed on their phone could slow performance. By removing the applications that you do not use; you can give new life to your Android smartphone. In addition, following an application installation, your Android device can sometimes show signs of slowing down. It is very rare but it is possible that the application in question creates internal conflicts within the system exploitation. One solution to this problem: Uninstall the application.

Close any open applications and RAM-intensive:

The advent of smartphones multitasking enables us to do several things simultaneously. Ex: Listen to music while writing an SMS, Lancer loading a web page while sending a picture on Facebook ... The advantage of these new features is undeniable, but the side effects are worth noting. In fact, if you do not close the applications after the use, your smartphone's RAM divided on all open programs. We now understand that the device has fewer resources available to properly operate its operating system.

To update the software on your Android smartphone:

Updates for your Android smartphone (when available) can drastically improve its performance, to benefit from new features and ensure their safety.

    Rooting the Android phone (Optional):
By doing this you will get the root access of the phone. Gaining root access is very very important for those who are looking for get the sufficient privileges so that they can change the settings of Galaxy S as they want and whenever they want. There are few applications available to Root the android phone but before going for this I urge to gain the complete knowledge of the rooting process. Then make a complete back up of the computer so that if anything wrong occurs during the rooting process, you can bring back the phone using the back up.

I hope that you are very well known about the Galaxy S. If so, then you also know that it has fast 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor. Even if it is faster processor, it will occasionally cause the phone to feel sluggish and unresponsive. The reason behind this is, the Samsung Galaxy S usually tries to access its internal memory. Here comes the problem. Galaxy S has RFS file system but it won’t come with any kind of buffered write support. When the phone asks for multiple write requests, it blocks the file system. This makes the phones to operate slowly. I don’t know whether there is fixing for this issue yet.

If you are really looking forward to improve the performance of Galaxy S, then there are several ways. But before that you need to get the good benchmarking programs from the Android market which will help you to know about the phone and what is causing the phone to run slow. Then you can search for different utilities which will help you to gain the speed and fix the issue.

I really like the Samsung Galaxy S because it is one of the best phones on the Android category. The phone looks really cool and comes with different price range. Everything is fine in this phone but there is slight problem with Samsung stock firmware. The applications lag much as compare to other phones. The file system access is very slow as compared to other phones like Nexus One.

Yes, it is true that Samsung has problem with its stock firmware. But the problem will not last longer. Someone has brought the Open Source to the rescue. The name of the project is Voodoo. The main intention of the project is to convert the proprietary RFS filesystem to Ext4. This is the great fix for stock SGS. If you want to compare the performance, you can use a good app called Quadrant Standard Edition.
