This is a small guide with images which will tell you a easy way to update firmware of Samsung LED TVs. I had used the USB method here which is the most easiest. Other than this you can also use the LAN method.
Step 1 : DOWNLOAD A APPROPRIATE FIRMWARE VERSION FROM SAMSUNG'S OFFICIAL SITE.
Step 2 : IN THE FIND BOX TYPE THE MODEL NUMBER OF YOUR LED TV. Ex: UE40B8000 led TV.
Step 3 : ONCE YOU FOUND THE MODEL CLICK ON THE TV AND GO ON DOWNLOADS TAB BELOW.
Step 4 : UNDER DOWNLOAD YOU CAN SEE 3 OPTIONS - Manuals | Software | Firmware. Click on FIRMWARE.
Step 5 : DOWNLOAD UPGRADE FILE AND YOU CAN ALSO USE UPGRADE GUIDE FOR MORE REFERENCE.
Step 6 : UNZIP THE FILE ON YOUR DESKTOP.
Step 7. COPY THE FIRMWARE FOLDER INSIDE THE USB DRIVE.
Step 6 : CONNECT THE USB TO USB1(HDD) PORT OR RELEVANT.
Step 7 : ON 'CONNECTING TO PORTABLE DEVICE' MENU CLICK ON SOFTWARE UPGRADE
Step 8 : NOW FROM THE MAIN MENU GO IN LAST OPTION LEGAL NOTICE > SOFTWARE UPGRADE.
Step 9 : SELECT BY USB. YOU MUST GET A MESSAGE "Valid version found in the usb device." IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING THIS MESSAGE THERE ARE TWO ISSUES. FIRST THE VERSION IS NOT NEW AND SECOND THE TV DOES NOT DETECTS THE FOLDERS INSIDE USB.
Note : Backup your data from usb before following this steps. Remember that for avoiding errors you must format your usn drive ni FAT32 format. If it is NTFS format it. Just right click on usb > format > Change File System to FAT32 and format it.
