    Jailbreaking Android Phones

Companies like Motorola does not want anyone to change the settings of your smartphone official Droid X, where if you try to modify the operating system either with a Jail broken or root which is an unofficial update and this mobile device self-destructs, being useless even for to use the basic functions. This is because the technology was developed by IMB, effusive, enabling Motorola to control absolutely the core of their mobile devices, and begin to apply this tool in the X Droid.

The only solution is to go to Motorola support. Here I had mentioned some tips on jail breaking an Android Phone. Droid X is also an Android phone. But be careful before performing such task. This can damage your phone completely and might void warranty to some extent also. The phones with Android, the Google OS based on Linux, do not give the possibility to be root on the system. Yet it may be practical to install stuff on their phone or to better manage its operations.

If you are unable to connect your Android phone and your computer, go to Settings / Applications / Development on Android and activate the USB debugging. You can download Roms from any popular Android websites. Jail breaking offers you to use new operating system in your Mobile phone with additional features and support. But the same is not officially supported by Company and therefore it is not recommended to an extent. Some companies like Apple denies their warranty fro the product once it is jailbreaked. I have some sample methods for different phones :

Acer Liquid A1 and Nexus One

    1. Download Liquid for Acer and Nexus One. (You will need to search that Manually on Google)
    2. Then for Nexus, download fastboot and type chmod + x fastboot then. / linux-fastboot oem unlock to enable the developer mode. Turn off the phone and remove the battery.
    3. Connect the phone via USB with your computer.
    4. Do not forget to replace the battery in the phone when you see the battery icon on the screen. Turn the phone by pressing the power button and at the same time the button on the camera.
    5. Unzip those downloads and run :
    Code:
    chmod + x install-superboot-linux.sh
    / Install-superboot-linux.sh
The above two commands will give you access to the file system.

    Droid
    • Download Droid Rom or Root file
    • Put the same in the SD card which is root /
    • Switch your phone off then on again, hold down the camera button until a warning message appears on the screen
    • Press again on the camera button and simultaneously press the volume control audio, until the screen changes (Recovery Mode)
    • Then choose Apply update.zip from SD card by moving the knob to the location and hit ok. Follow onscreen instructions.

    Re: Jailbreaking Android Phones

This are just basic steps. Remember that the companies do release updates for Android phones. This updates are built to clear jailbreak support. Even if you had rooted your phone and accidentally you update your phone, your old settings are sometime restored or sometime your phone just goes off. This is to restore the root of phone. You will be provided very less privileges from the official sources once you jailbreak your phone.

    Re: Jailbreaking Android Phones

I believe to do this if you have bought an second hand phone or if you do not really love the phone. It is just to provide newer version of app on your phone. But do not forget that some of the phones do not have any support for new Android OS and there is no worth in rooting it. So do read the specifications first, get all info and then jailbreak it. This has been really very popular with iphones, but the methods in that is easy.
