Safety Tips for your Twitter Account

I have observed many users looking out for safety tips that can be useful for twitter account. So lastly, I decided to provide some of them and they are as follows :

    1. Before you log in, check either the url. If you have some questions in your mind, go directly to http://twitter.com.
    2. Do not post new content on sites that promise to give you more followers. You could lose your account.
    3. Retweetable No spam. This could result in suspension of your account, so before making a RT verify it is not spam. And in general not blind you could tweeted something wrong.
    4. No tweet links to phishing sites. Even with intentions to warn other users about them. Result: Account suspended.
    5. If you receive spam from MD, longer follow. This will stop receiving the DM.

    6. Stay logged out on the web. When looking at new roles, to avoid possible execution of malicious scripts.
    7. Beware of sexy avatars. This is a trick used by spammers, are almost always the same but sometimes innovate.
    8. Spam complaint. Usually after a while Twitter will identify and delete, but if you want to speed up the process, block them and report it to @ spam via DM.
    9. Log in you use applications with OAuth. These will take you to a page within the domain of twitter (twitter.com/oauth/), which will ask you if you allow the application to access your data. It is the safest way.
    10. Think twice before proceeding. Return follow blindly is not a good idea, we should always check your profile to see if there is a suspicious account.
