Things to avoid when buying a laptop

After reading various technical information and after studying the prices of different laptops on the market when the right opportunity presents itself, perhaps the flyer with the offerings of the mall, you go to buy a new laptop. Buy the best product at a price as low as possible is the main objective. But when it comes to the mall and you can touch the computer you want to buy, there are still some things to consider in order to avoid scam and not be duped by the bid made by crushing or seller. It is not disheartened by the clerks of such shopping centers MediaWorld, Croma, Panorama, Expert and others and does not even do the whole apples and oranges, but the seller makes its interest, it tries to push the customer to spend money and sometimes not at all expert.

Given that this is questionable advice and objective factors, things to avoid when you go to buy a laptop are:

    1. Prior to cheer for the offer of a $ 300 laptop, which does not look good either single-core processors. By now the computers are all multicore (dual core or quadcore) and it's really crucial to have a CPU that works with two or four independent processors rather than just one. Although a single-core processor is adequate and sufficient for some basic tasks, it suffers a lot when you open programs more complex when working with multiple software and video playback in HD. Even web pages with flash animation could be heavy. Laptops with AMD processors indicate the number of processor cores with a label "X2" or "X4". This label does not appear if the laptop has a single-core processor. Intel does not have a single brand recognition, but most portable upright a single-core Intel CPU using the Intel Celeron 900. Conversely, although the performance of the notebook singlecore is poor, I must say, those looking for a $ 300 laptop, probably not too concerned that it is fast.

    2. Look at the quality of the screen and not to take the laptop too big. For starters, if you want a laptop, you can not expect that it has a large monitor as a TV, otherwise it becomes too difficult to take it back. The laptops also have drawbacks compared to desktop computers, first of all that you can not upgrade the hardware and, therefore, the screen can not be changed if it does not like. To check the quality of the monitor switch on the laptop must have it before my eyes before you buy. After running, open a web page or text document with white background check and good, up close, there are small lines that seem to pass through the screen either vertically or horizontally. This is a problem known as "screen door effect" or "mosquito effect" and is very annoying (it should not appear on the new monitor, but you never know). Give also a look at the screen resolution is generally 1366 x 768, standard size for laptops 15.6". There are some laptops with 16" which have the same resolution and this thing is not good because the image quality is lowered.

    3. Needless to consider the factors of choice, the battery life. Walking through the corridors of the mall, reading the main features of the handsets, you'll find that everyone has a battery life of 3 hours. If they should read statements of duration between 8 and 10 hours, do not consider them absolutely true. The fact is that there are, to date, agreements on standard battery so the computer manufacturers are free to advertise emphasizing things like battery life. In general, I would say that the laptops are able to get 75% of battery life stated on the box. Also the battery life depends on what you do with your computer, if you watch movies or programs that perform heavy, will last less.

    4. To refuse the extended warranty given by the seller. The extended warranty plays on the sensibility of the person and the fact that they are spending $ 1000 a salary for many people. It then becomes easy to succumb to the pressure of the seller to pay an additional warranty. It may happen that you pour a glass of coca cola on the computer or the laptop flights from the window, but as this is likely? And the possibility that your computer is stolen is not something that happens so frequently. Moreover, even if some companies are better than others, most companies will do everything to find a reason that invalidates the Extended Warranty. Even if the guarantee be honored, the laptop will be repaired and who knows where the repair process can take weeks. Of course, for internal damage, not dependent on user's fault there is the normal manufacturer's warranty is included with any electronic product.

    5. Do not buy extras that drives up the cost. The seller and the salesperson do their job and then try to sell as much as possible to customers. When it comes to electronics with a client inexperienced (like when you go to a mechanic), the seller can use big words and "advise" the consumer to buy extras "necessary." These can be HDMI and USB cables for printers, external hard drives, memory cards and other things. So, I can assure you that things like cables should never be bought at department stores because they have much higher prices than those charged by small and specialized electronics stores than online stores.

If you agree with the above or not and if you have had bad experiences when buying a laptop, leave a comment without problems.
