    How to Enable two-finger scrolling on Laptops

    You want to enjoy the two-finger scrolling like the Macbook Air to more easily scroll through pages of text (in your web browser or word processor for example) on the screen of your laptop?

    At first, you must verify that the touchpad on your laptop supports well the two-finger scrolling. It is for this is the type Synaptics. The Synaptics allows you to download the latest drivers for its touchpad. You can also pass by the site of the manufacturer of your computer that should also offer them.

    Once the drivers installed, you simply go to the settings to enable two-finger scrolling.

    You can then scroll pages more easily to the screen by moving two fingers on the touchpad of your notebook.

    Verify the TouchPad type :

    At first, you must verify that the touchpad on your laptop supports well the two-finger scrolling. It is for this is the type Synaptics. To do so, follow these simple steps:
    • Click the Start button and click Control Panel.

    You can easily download the latest drivers for your touchpad from below. You can also pass by the manufacturer's site of your system that should also offer them.

    Download Windows XP/Vista and Win7 32-bit Edition v15.1.22

    Download Windows XP/Vista and Win7 64-bit Edition v15.1.22

    Now follow the following steps:
    • Save the file to your hard drive. Once the download completes, run the.
    • In the wizard that opens, click Next.
    • Select I accept this agreement and click Next.
    • Click Finish.
    • Click Restart Now to restart your computer and apply the new drivers.

    Configure the two-finger scrolling:

    You'll have to go to the driver settings to activate the two-finger scrolling. Here is how to do the same:
    • Click the Start button and click Control Panel.
    • Click Hardware and Sound.
    • Then click Mouse in the category Peripherals and printers.
    • Open the Settings tab of the device.
    • Click the Settings button.
    • Unroll the scroll element, 2-finger scrolling.
    • Then check the boxes Enable vertical scrolling, horizontal scrolling and Enable Enable moving along when scrolling.
    • Confirm.

    Utilizing the two-finger scrolling:

    Now that the two-finger scrolling is active, you can exploit it.
    • To scroll a page up or down, put two fingers on touchpad and drag them up or down.

    • To scroll a page to the left or right, put two fingers on touchpad and drag them up or down.
