Basically, each and every individual MP3 saved on your computer has some additional information stored with him called metadata. This metadata item includes information such as name of the artist, the release title, and the list of songs on a publication. However, not all files contain metadata and a lot of time, even if they do, it is not correct. Manually edit MP3 tags is just too much work, if you have a large collection of digital. Re: How to edit and fix MP3 tags

MusicBrainz is a user-maintained community music meta-database. The cool thing is that all data is created and maintained by the users themselves There are well over 350.00 artists, 550,000 releases, and a loose 6.63 million + tracks with meta-data that in the MusicBrainz database. And it's all free. Yes, it is an online catalog service is a lot of useful data. But how does the network helps you to tagging your files? Now MusicBrainz goes step one, and its products can be used to provide metadata for digital audio files such as MP3 , OGG, and many other audio file formats. In order to remove any bad or missing mp3 tags, MusicBrainz has a program called Picard that use fingerprints to identify Acoustic semi-automatically tracks in your music collection and then write consistent and accurate metadata to your digital audio files.

Picard takes a concept album for tagging files, making it faster tagging files individually. Basically, you open individual music files or directories in Picard, by turning them into new files (drag files with tags bear " here) "folder.

Now the software by reading of metadata for all files and unless they were already marked, they are in the "Unclustered files" folder. files that were marked before and contain a MusicBrainz Track ID be opened as albums in the album.

Click on the cluster key is the cause of the tagger to try and group the files into album clusters of by the clustering of the metadata from files and all files on the same album.

Now comes a little manual labor, that is unavoidable. You have to look up album clusters or individual files by the cluster and click the button lookup. This will open a new browser window in which to search for on the right album with the MusicBrainz web site. Once you have found the right album, click on the tagger icon in the album title: . If you clicked this link, the tagger opens and loads the album in the tagger (under the heading albums). Basically, all songs that MusicBrainz-white in this original album.

Finally, you can use the title of "Unclustered Files" folder or clusters from the album on tracks in the albums. dragging a file on an album 'Tags' to this album and you should have a symbol on the track. You can even entire directories, several files at once or a whole album on cluster albums and the tagger will try the files pulled to the album.

Once you want your titles to the appropriate albums, you can make a song or an album and click on the button "Save" to save that track / album. Depending on your settings, moving the track to a new directory and rename the track with the correct metadata.

That's about it! We hope you can either all your MP3's fast, so that they can be searched on Windows, iTunes, or in any other media player. Does anyone use a different audio tagging program and a comment and let yes us know! Enjoy!
