    Connect a laptop Wi-Fi integrated Windows 7 to the Livebox

    If you have a laptop equipped with Windows 7 integrated Wi-Fi you can connect it wirelessly to the Livebox. You will find below the procedure to achieve whatever the model of the Livebox.

    Pre- required

    • The location of your Livebox and its environment are crucial for optimizing Wi-Fi connection from your PC to your Livebox.
    • Verify that the Wi-Fi your Livebox is enabled. You connected your computer to the Livebox wired mode (with an Ethernet cable) and you want to disable the Wi-Fi your Livebox. Also make sure that LED Wireless be green.
    • You must activate the Wi-Fi from your PC. Activation of the Wi-Fi is generally performed by pressing a button dedicated to this function or a combination of keys, if necessary consult your computer manual.

    Login your PC to the Livebox

    1. If you have a Livebox Sagem, Thomson / or Inventel Livebox Pro V1, you have to put together your Livebox. Also put the Livebox in pairing mode.
    2. Click the Network icon located in the notification area indicating that connections are available.
    3. The three different access points Wi-Fi within range of the computer appears. Select from the list on the Livebox which you want to connect, it is identified by a name (or SSID) Type Livebox-xxxx present on the label of your Livebox.
    4. Select Automatic connection if you want to use this function and then click the Connect button.
    5. Enter the passkey (no spaces) and click OK.
    6. Wait for the connection.
    7. When the first connection to this equipment Windows 7 asks you to select a type of network location among three proposed: home network, office network or public network. Then choose the one that best suits your usage and the degree of security desired.
    8. Click Close.
    9. Network icon located in the notification area should indicate that you are currently connected.

    With "Connect Automatically connect to the Internet is established automatically when your computer is within range of your Livebox and that it is properly configured. You can now access the Internet without any software installation or configuration. Launch your browser and verify that access to the internet works.
