How to run Silverlight 4 in Visual Studio 2010

Currently working on a project with Silverlight 3, in this version there is support for displaying HTML, because I have to make a series of tricks with javascript to display the HTML. As you may know is that the version of Silverlight in April has been released, so there is sure to be tested because when it goes into production will be in this version.

My problem is that Silveright 4 only runs on VS 2010 (I was told), so already download and install Visual Studio 2010 RC, so I wanted to install Silverlight in April for my tests but it is that I can not install because it's VS 2010 RC and Microsoft still does not release the version of the tools for the RC. # FAIL.

Here is a trick we can do to test what these products are released.

1. When we display this message:

2. ParameterInfo.xml Open file located in the folder C: \ 1eb31413031af402db9ce97a1b69bc, since we opened we will delete lines 13-41. This is the text to be deleted:

3. Then run the file SPInstaller.exe. As you can tell in the picture if I could install but says Beta 2.

4. Finally we will update some data in the Windows registry in the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ VisualStudio \ 10.0 \ DesignerPlatforms \ Silverlight

and changed the value from v3.0 to v4.0 SilverlightHost.

And ready and we can work with Silverlight in Visual Studio 2010 4 RC
