Troubleshooting Internet Explorer 8

For most users, the installation of Internet Explorer 8 did not lead to any concern. And for most of them, the performance of IE8 does not present anomaly. These are two specific problems: the slowness of the browser, once installed, and malfunctions in accelerators and Web Slices. 1. If you have problems installing IE8, try the following:

Start by checking that your machine is in top condition, because it can be a problem on your computer and not IE8. Verify that your operating system version is: either Windows XP Service Pack 2 or SP3, or Vista Service Pack 1. Attention! IE8 does not work with the Beta or RC Services Pack. You must use the final versions! The ideal is to have Windows XP SP3

Note: In Windows Vista, the command "Run" (which is quite useful in XP), does not appear by default in the Start menu. To open it, do the following:

1. Right-click on the Start menu and select Properties
   
   
2. In the window that appears, select the Start Menu tab and click Customize

1. Open IE8

3. Select Internet Options
4. Open the Advanced tab
