    Prevent Google to track you

    Google offers free disposal many useful tools such as Gmail, the mapping service Google Maps, Google Docs office suite, etc..

    But in return, Google collects an incredible amount of information about its users. Services Adsense (traffic monetization) and Analytics (traffic data) used on many sites on the Internet are no exception to the rule and record information on websites you visit, the place where you connect , your version of Windows or Linux, your interests, the articles that interest you ... to better target advertising to be displayed in your browser.

    With the following tips, you'll be able to limit the information recorded about you by Google and a little better and protect your privacy.

    Block sending information to Google Analytics with Internet Explorer:

    Google Analytics is a popular service used by many website publishers to gather information about their visitors: the pages visited, length of visits, your configuration, your location, etc.. Google can easily collect information about you even if you do not explicitly Google services: just go to a site that uses Google Analytics.

    To stop sending information to Google Analytics, and that, whatever the site where you are, you must install a plugin to your browser.
    • Open your Internet Explorer and visit to the following link.

    • Click the Download button on the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics (beta).

    • Click the Accept button and install.

    • Click the Run button.

    • Click Run again.

    • Once the file copying finished, click Restart the browser now.

    • When you open your browser the next time you're told that the module is installed. From now on, your Internet Explorer will no longer send information to Google when you visit pages using Google Analytics.

    • Open Google Chrome Browser and click on this link.

    • Click the Download button on the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics (beta).

    • Click the Install button in the plug module in the library of extensions for Chrome.

    • Click the Install button.

    • After a few moments, a bubble appears and tells you that the module is installed. From now on, your Google Chrome browser will no longer send information to Google when you visit pages using Google Analytics

    Google Analytics is a popular service used by many website publishers to gather information about their visitors: pages visited, length of visits, your configuration, your location, etc.. Google can easily collect information about you even if you do not explicitly Google services: just go to a site that uses Google Analytics.

    To stop sending information to Google Analytics, and that, whatever the site where you are, you must install a plugin to your browser.

    • In Firefox open the following link.

    • Click the Download button on the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics (beta).

    • Click the Accept button and install.

    • In the bar that appears at the top of the browser, click the Allow button.

    • Click the Install Now button.

    • Finally, click on Restart Firefox. From now on, your Firefox will no longer send information to Google when you visit pages using Google Analytics.

    Disable customized ads:

    The advertising service AdSense is present on many sites on the Internet. It finds its famous sponsored links in Gmail, the Google search engine and on many sites. The Adsense ads are generally based on the content of the page you are reading.

    But by crossing the information with sites you normally visit, Google has a list of interests that you are a cookie on your Web browser. The advertisements of the sites you visit so fit these criteria. You can disable this personalization of the Google ads.

    • In your Web browser, go to the address http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/

    • The list of interests that has involved Google will be displayed.

    • Click the Disable button.

    • Google will record more then your interests and can no longer use in its advertisements. Note that this setting is stored in a cookie. So make sure not to delete it if you must repeat this procedure for deactivation.
