Add a bank account

• You must first make sure you have added a bank account to your PayPal account. To add a bank account:
• Log PayPal.
• Click on My Account, then Preferences.
• Click Bank account in the Financial Information column.
• Enter the following information:
  
  • Name of the bank.
  • bank routing number
  • Institution Number
  • Account number. If you're not sure you have found the appropriate numbers, please refer to the figures at the bottom of your personal checks.

Confirm your bank account.

After you have added a bank account, you must confirm that you own your account. Confirm your bank account so you can transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account.

When you add your bank account, we deposit two small amounts in this account. These amounts will usually appear in your account after 6 or 8 working days. After 2 or 3 business days:

1. Contact your financial institution or check your online statement to determine the exact amount of these deposits.

Add funds by electronic transfer

After entering and confirming your bank account: Login to your PayPal Account by simply clicking on the login button as shown below in the image.

3. In the Amount box, enter the amount you wish to transfer from your bank account and click Continue. Generally, it takes about 3 to 4 days for the transfer of funds.

Add a credit card to your PayPal account as a source of funds:

1. Log PayPal.
2. Click the subtab My account and choose Preferences.
3. Click on Credit Cards in the Financial Information column.
4. Click Add.
5. Fill in the form Add a credit card or debit card, making sure that the information provided is identical to those you can see on your credit card statement:

A. Enter the name of the owner
B. Select the type of card
C. Enter the number of credit cards
D. Select the month and year of expiry
E. Enter the verification number of the credit card.
