    Step 1:
Firstly, In the address bar of Firefox type the code (make a copy and paste): "about: config" and click "Enter". The following page appears cons: click on "I'll be careful, I promise."

    Step 2:
Search over this whole list the following codes:
    • "Netword.http.pipelining 'and when you found it, double-click it so that its status becomes" True.
    • Do the same with the other two files named: "Network.http.proxy.pipelining.

    Step 3:
Then click "network.http.proxy.pipelining.maxrequests" with the right mouse button, a window will s "open to see what number to: change it, and type the number" 30 "and click" OK.

    Step 4:
Finally, right click anywhere on the page and click on "New" and "numeric value".

    Step 5:
Name the new numeric value "nglayout.inialpaint.delay.

    Step 6:
Set its value to "0" then click "OK". This figure corresponds to the waiting time that your browser will incur with the display of the new Web page.

Re: How to start Firefox in 3.5 seconds or much more faster

I have myself experienced that the newer versions of Firefox that have been released are comparatively slower as well as has many issues that the older versions. This is why I have not upgraded from the older version of this browser. So, if you have the setup of the old browser, switch to the same. Or else, it will be better if you change to some other browser like Opera 10. It is far more better than Firefox. Opera 10 does not have memory leakages also, which is the problem in Firefox and is causing such issues of browser slowing down.

You can also try to use the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox which is the Firefox 4. I have also downloaded this version of the Firefox recently and started using the same it works much more faster than its previous version this also has some very wonderful with unique features.

I tried the above tip and it really work great , However if this does not helped you then i will suggest you to perform the following

    1. In the address bar of Firefox, type (no spaces): about: config then press Enter
    2. Right-click the new pagepuis select: new Boolean
    3. Type config.trim_on_minimize and set this value to TRUE.
    4. Restart Firefox and you'll see the difference!

Re: Limit the amount of RAM you use Firefox

We limit the amount of RAM Firefox uses and further reduce use when Firefox is minimized. To do this we need to do the following

Limit the amount of RAM you use Firefox.

Open Firefox and in the search bar type "about: config", then enter "Browser.cache" where it says filter and press "Enter", we look for value "browser.cache.disk.capacity", double click on it and reduce its value to 20,000. The default value is 50,000. If you want you can try different values.
