Solution: ATI Catalyst 10.2 x64 install problem

I have seen a lot of people reporting ATI Catalyst 10.2 installation problem on their 64 bit operating system. To resolve this problem here is a hotfix file available provided by Microsoft that you can install on your computer. This will solve your problem.

Note: Please be aware that this Hotfix has not gone through full Microsoft product regression testing nor has it been tested in combination with other Hotfixes.

I worry about the Visual C++ recommendation to fix the installation issue of ATI Catalyst 10.2. I had tried the same many times but the same does not work. The issue begin with the update of control center from version 9.1 to Catalyst 10.2. I will try the above hot fix and provide the issue occur after that.

Thanks for the hotfix. I had updated the 10.2 version which has cause steep fall in the game fps. I am playing Far Cry 2. Before this the FPS rate was above 100 overclocked on 3.2. But after the driver update the system falls down and the Control Tool crashed some time. I am using a 64 bit version of Windows Vista. I checkout the hot fix.
