Adjusting the Internet traffic with NetBalancer

To adjust the Internet traffic of software you use and thus give higher priority to particular software, you can use the free NetBalancer. You can limit the bandwidth and software that you leave running in the background as a manager or download a P2P software and provide more bandwidth to your Web browser to continue to surf the Internet comfortably. NetBalancer even lets you adjust the priority after the upload (sending data) and download (downloading data).

Note that the free version of NetBalancer allows you to set priority in sending and receiving 5 software, which is largely sufficient. In addition, you must turn to the commercial version of software that costs about $ 25.

    Download and install NetBalancer:

NetBalancer is a free program you can download from the repository PC Tips.

    • Download NetBalancer

    • Select a folder to save the installation file NetBalancer in the Downloads folder for example and click Save.

    • Once the download is complete, click the Run button.

    • In the wizard that opens, click the Next button.

    • Select I accept the agreement and click Next.

    • Click Next four times then Install.

    • A warning window appears. Click Install this driver software anyway.

    • Finally click the Finish button.

Restrict or boost the bandwidth of a software:

NetBalancer is loaded automatically when Windows starts.

    • Its icon in the notification area gives you a real-time view of network traffic.

    • Double click on it: the list of running processes (programs and services being launched) is displayed.

    • For each process, the current speed download and upload is displayed.

    • Note the Path field gives you the full path of the process and thus an indication of the exact name of the software.

    • Click the right mouse button on the process of software-intensive bandwidth you want to limit and choose to lower its priority download (download) and upload by clicking on Low.

    • To set a speed limit not to exceed, click Limit.

    • Then set the maximum transfer rate that this application will not exceed.

    • The bandwidth of this application is then automatically adjusted.

    • To prohibit the downloading and sending information over the Internet software, click the right mouse button on the process and choose the command block entry of Download and Upload.

    • To give more priority to software, compared to other programs launched by default with a normal priority and those for which you have reduced the priority (in Low), click the right mouse button and click High.

    • Note that your settings will be retained after you restart your computer and will therefore always active.
