Covert MKV to MP4 for PS3

Here are the tips for converting the MKV files to MP4 file for PlayStation 3. For converting you need to use GOTSent. This will automate the process that involves many application for extract streams from MKV file, change the H264 stream characteristics, that encodes to AAC audio and mux as MP4.
For this purpose you need to do following software.
1. GOTSent
2. AC3Filter
3. Haali Media Splitter
4. Nero AAC Encoders
5. WinRAR

PS3 does not support the playing of MKV files directly, but it has the direct support for MP4. Hence you need to perform the following steps for playing MKV files on PS3.



Download and Extract GOTSent Files

Download and Extract Nero AAC Encoder Files (optional)



Download the Nero AAC files if you want to have the best possible quality audio output. The ZIP file that you can download from the official site of Nero site, and it has four files in it, neroAacTag.exe, neroAacEnc_SSE.exe, neroAacEnc.exe and neroAacDec.exe.

The neroAacEnc_SEE.exe file is particularly for computers that have processors that sustain SEE2. If your Intel or AMD64 chip does sustain SEE2, then that is the file we are looking for. If not, then neroAacEnc.exe.

Now that you have setup GOTSent and the Nero AAC Encoders (or not) on page
Now that you have completed the setup of GOTSent and the Nero AAC Encoders you can launch the application.





Launch GOTSent_024b5.exe. It is an easy program to understand; has two input fields, one for input MKV, one for output folder that will allow you to select audio if there is multiple, browse subtitles, and specify the language and the other settings.

For loading an MKV file in to GOTSent simply click File and use the file browser that is launch up for finding the MKV file that you want to convert. If you want to change the output file then you can do the same by clicking the “Set Output” and then locating the folder with the browser that launches.
