Electrical, computer, history, geography, building, cooking, medicine, every person is an expert in a particular area. On this principle rests the free encyclopedia Wikipedia. This encyclopedia participatory involves everyone in the world to expand and improve the content available free to everyone.
For in addition to seeing quality articles on any domain, you can even participate in their improvement: information is missing, another is wrong, there is a spelling error: it is enough for you intervene and make the change yourself in a few seconds. If you have the knowledge, you can even write a new article in collaboration with other users.

Find an Article:
Looking for information on a specific topic for a lecture or a presentation for example? You can do this using the search engine from Wikipedia. Here is how to do that:
- Visit wikipedia and in the Search field that is in the left column of the page, enter your keywords and click the Browse button.
- The page on the search topic is displayed. If the keywords you enter are several items, their list is displayed. Then simply click on the topic that interests you.
- Once in the article, the words referring to other articles are highlighted in blue. Feel free to follow them to expand your knowledge.
Exploring thematic portals:
If you want information on a wider field, you can browse the thematic portals. These include a collection of articles on a particular theme.
- On the home page of Wikipedia, you will find a list of key thematic portals. For example, click the portal environment which is in the Company field.
- You now have access to articles and links relating to the environment.
- A wealth of knowledge within the reach of your mouse.
Create an encyclopedia account:
To participate in Wikipedia and share with others your knowledge, you can create a user account. It is not mandatory, but it allows you to publish your name in articles and additional information and track your contributions. Otherwise, your IP address is used to sign your contributions.
- On Wikipedia, click on Create an account or log that is in the upper right of every page.
- Then click on Create Account.
- Copy the text from the image and then choose a username and password. To be contacted by other users by email, enter your email address in the field My email. Check the box Remember my password (cookie) to store a cookie on your computer to automatically identify you when you visit.
- Finally, click on the Create Account button (optional).
- Now you will be identified by your username when you visit Wikipedia.
- If this is not the case, click on Create an account or login.
- Then enter your user name, your password and click Login.
