Most people do not take what they can do to protect their data if their laptop is lost, stolen, or simply a bad hard drive crashes or corrupts data on the disk. Here are some simple users can take to reduce risks by safely losing important files.

    Download your e-mail :
Store a copy of your e-mail on the mail server of your company. Most email software allows you to store a copy on the server. Outlook is the case, for example. Set this option in your settings and allow you to download messages to multiple computers.

    Virus and Spyware Protection :
Use an anti-virus software package, and protect your system with spyware. It is a stage all users must do to protect their computers. Viruses are everywhere on the internet, websites doubtful this e-mail from your Aunt Mildred just had to send cute. Be smart and invest in viruses and spyware.

    CDs are expensive :

Buy an external USB hard drive :
Use a USB external hard disk to make a complete backup of your system. However, some people use these little USB flash drives to store critical files, which is great. Others use external hard drives USB does not take much space on a desk at all. Both are good options to consider.

    Network Features :
If you join a network, talk to your IT department to request that your laptop is added to a network back-up schedule. Or perhaps, give them your computer laptop before going to lunch and save your data. Most IT departments of computer users mobile s figure are themselves, to ask them some help to prevent your computer.

What precautions are simple, low cost, you can take to protect yourself against losing your data, spend lots of money, and actually become unproductive. After all, your computer laptop is nothing more than a fancy paperweight diskless work.

It is better to spend some time regularly to safeguard sensitive data rather than spend time at any store and no longer do because of time.

    CD or DVD :
Do not use CD-RW or DVD-RW does not burn at a speed too high, always checking integrated burning software and manual checking.

    Internal hard drive :
It is in all cases preferable to have at least two drives in his machine and have sensitive data in duplicate. If you can, you can build a system to RAID 1 (mirroring). Attention example during a power surge, it is likely that both drives fail. A backup on external media is always desirable.

    Server :
If you have a space on the server of your company, do not miss out! You can also keep a copy of your work on your local hard drive.
