Tips for troubleshooting HTC Tilt 2 Sluggishness/Freezing

If your device becomes slothful or freezes on some occasion, then you must try the following steps:
    1. Check device for a static cling screen protector, if present, remove and run through the screen adaptation by going to Start> Settings> System tab> Screen
Note: it is possible for the static cling screen protector that cause lack of response from the touch screen, which can lead a user to believe the device is sluggish, or frozen. Only stylus that came with the device used to calibrate the screen, any other object, it will not calibrate it correctly.
    2. Check the accessible memory Start>Settings>System Tab>Memory>Main.
Is there at least 10MB free in storage space and Program each?
    3. Less than 10MB?

    1. Release the memory, move files (music, pictures, etc.) to a memory card.
    2. Shut down running programs not in use, go to the Today screen> Task Manager Shortcut (upper right corner).
NOTE: You can use the Button option in Task Manager to shut down programs by just pressing "X" in that program.
    3. Remove Browser History and Temp files.
    4. Opera Mobile

    4. Go to: Today Screen>Internet icon>Browser.
    1. Select Menu Icon>Settings>Privacy.
    Internet Explorer
    1. Go to Start>Internet Explorer>Menu>Tools>Options>Memory Tab.
    2. Tap on Delete Cookies, Delete Cache, and Delete History.

    6. Rule Out 3rd party applications (something that did not come on the device).

Re: Tips for troubleshooting HTC Tilt 2 Sluggishness/Freezing

I've read a lot about this phone have problems with frost. While clearing your internet cache can definitely be a problem, I found I keep getting a message that manila.exe has failed. After a little searching, I found that manila.exe is TouchFlo3D application. This is a plug-in that can prevent, and after disabling my phone works fine. The problem is touch flo is the user interface, which all find so cool about the phone and I would like to continue using it. Is there anyway to uninstall-reinstall?
