Need to Convert Windows movie maker video for youtube

Hello, sorry if this question has already been posted but I can't seem to find the exact help I'm seeking.

I just make a video on Windows movie marker (vista), not even sure what the file the format is saved as. All I know is that I now need to convert it to avi? i think to upload onto youtube.

Before i was using this site media-convert to convert previous videos, following steps posted by someone on this site. But that was awhile ago, and now that i'm trying to upload a new video for youtube, that method doesnt seem to want to work for me.. maybe it's the site, but i'm not sure.

i need tips, from start to finish on exactly how to do this, and which format to save it in or as. I'm not very computer savvy at all. So i'll in in depth descriptions step by step on how to do this. Please help, it would be truly appreciated.

its format is always wmv.. u dont need to convert to avi..
coz wmv is supported by youtube..

the best youtube video format is 1280x720 16:9 MP4(h.264 video codec, aac audio codec), or 640*480 4:3 MP4(h.264 video codec, aac audio codec), or normal FLV videos
