    Optimize Windows for SSD

Beyond Windows 7, all versions of Windows are unable to configure properly when a SSD is present in the system. In fact, if Windows 7 will automatically make some adjustments to remove unnecessary options, Vista and Windows XP allow the default configuration, poorly adapted to these special discs.

OCZ has designed an application called SSD Tweaker, which can be in front all the settings available to improve your situation. Note that even if Windows 7 handles himself with certain changes, the software goes further. It has an automatic function to assign the appropriate settings depending on your configuration, but the more experienced will probably further.

    Indexing Service

    • System Restore
    • Windows Defrag
    • The use of a large system cache
    • The memory usage NTFS
    • The tombstone names in 8.3 format
    • Etc..
