    Firefox 3.6 Tips

Perhaps Firefox 3.6 was not a big launch like the 3.0 but if you can get much out of their functions, and as always, the "about: config" is your best friend. So, here are some tips and leave them in the configuration settings that can help improve our experience with this which remains one of the best browsers:

Previewing the navigation tabs on the taskbar. [Only Windows 7]

Firefox 3.6 is integrated seamlessly with the new Windows 7, and especially with the options of pre-visualization. Who - I hope out of curiosity - have used IE8 in Win7 minimized know that if this browser or have another program open, moving the pointer over the icon in IE8 on the taskbar will display all the tabs you have open, this same can do with Firefox 3.6 but not enabled by default. Write about:config in the address bar and press Enter, and filter browser.taskbar.previews.enable change its value to true if this is false.

    Accelerated scrolling

In very large pages, which for lack of consideration of the editors and / or designers opted not paginate the content is common to do scrolling several times to give us a quick impression of the content, the only drawback is that sometimes this is scrolling slow. The solution, put some speed.

Type about: config in the smart bar and press enter, escape-related options: mousewheel.acceleration and two lines should appear. The first: mousewheel.acceleration.start with which we can activate the acceleration and allows us to tell you how many times we do scroll so that the acceleration is active. The second: mousewheel.acceleration.factor that lets you specify how much acceleration is applied.

If you give them problems with the mouse, turn off the option by assigning -1 to the string mousewheel.acceleration.start This issue is related to driver incompatibility with your mouse.

Customize Ctrl + Tab to Preview:

Son of working with 10 tabs in Firefox at least as safe - as well as your server - will be useful for quickly changing the option tab. This feature, remember to rapid Windows application with "Ctrl + Tab", and, surprise, also use the Ctrl + Tab to preview this. The only thing is that is disabled by default, to activate it: Write about: config in the address bar and press Enter, escape browser.ctrlTab.previews and change its value to True.

On this option you can use Shift + Ctrl + Tab "to display the preview of the tabs and use a little looking to find a tab. They can also add a button to access this preview directly. We should only change the true value chain browser.allTabs.previews that is in the about:config

    Re: Firefox 3.6 Tips

Restore open tabs order from previous versions:

In their quest to improve the experience Firefox 3.6 introduced a slight change in the order they are opened tabs. Before when we opened a link in a new tab, this was located at the end all tab, now, this tab is opened on a par with the current with the objective of gathering the contents are supposed relationship.

However, lack user that it bothers you - we have to get used to - and prefer the deployment of classical order. They can return it for browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent in about:config and passing its value to false

    People interchangeable skins:

Mozilla Firefox 3.6 introduced a new mode called People easily interchangeable skins. How quickly we can change from one to another skin is truly amazing, and the best is that the code of Mozilla already has more than 35,000 options, so you have to choose. To use them, only we drove to the People gallery, and select the ones you like best.
