Leave copy of email on mail server

You can keep your mail on the server, but CAUTION, Outlook crashes regularly on this feature, it is advisable to use IMAP if your provider offers it.

    1. Menu Tools, Email Accounts, Activate the option View or change existing email accounts, Next.
    2. Select account Edit, Additional settings, Tab Advanced Options And check Leave a copy of messages on server.

It remains to choose when and how messages are destroyed Server:
    • Remove from server after N days to delete messages on server after N days.
    • Remove from server when deleted from Deleted Items folder to manually select how long they must be preserved.
    • Repeat this setting on each workstation that accesses this account.

When you read your mail using Outlook 2003 (or earlier), your mail are transferred to your machine and are more visible on your web-mail provider.
To leave a copy on the server, use this tip is really useful.

Note: If your mail server is an IMAP or HTTP, the message is not deleted when you load onto your computer. This option (Keep a copy of messages on server) You are also unavailable.
