how to connect samsung B2100 to your pc

hi there, how can I connect my samsung B2100 mobile to pc.
what I tried..?
1) i brought the data cable and connected to pc.
2) installed samsung pc suite 1 as well as 7
3) tried through the software....
but no use the mobile is not connecting...
BUT the mobile starts charging as soon as it is connected to the PC


Please guide me to connect the mobile to pc. I need to copy the things from mobile to pc as well as need to store songs on mobile

I installed New PC Studio, I have problem, I can't syncronize the notes between outlook and the phone.
Any idea?
