How to synchronize with activesync through bluetooth

First we must ensure that the device is set bluetooth
  • When installing the Bluetooth device on the PC, you must be sure that it is allowed with the Firewall , such as Windows XP Service Pack 2:
  • If you do not use unlock, go through Control Panel, Firewall, and then add your Bluetooth & ActiveSync Service
  • Secondly, we must find the communication ports, depending on the configuration PC, the model of Bluetooth device.
  • See the properties of the Bluetooth device is ... (in advanced options, usually) "Bluetooth Properties"

Now in ActivSync settings
  • The principle will be to grant the COM port of the PC for ActiveSync which is the same as your Bluetooth device, it is essential for the proper functioning
  • Then, you activate the Bluetooth on the iPAQ, it allows other devices to Detected ( Not compulsory but advisable to start with)
  • Now we must create a New Partnership

    Once detected, your computer should appear in the list of devices detected
  • You may then request access password (assuming that your PC is set Bluetooth Safety bass) Depending on the models, the password (key) may require a minimum number of characters Now enter the one you chose when installing on your PC
  • you do not choose a password (key), enter one and you will be asked to confirm the first partnership on your PC too.
  • Then detection Services launches

    You select the same COM port in ActiveSync on your configuration and then the Bluetooth Driver famous ActiveSync checkbox will appear and dont forget to register.

    You do not have to configure ports or outgoing in that famous window:

    since ActiveSync on Programs, by selecting Menu Bluetooth connection
    Then the connection will try opening port on the remote machine.
    And he will tell you authenticated user and then show you Connected
  • Now you just have to start your sync with Sync or ActiveSync icon.

How to install ActiveSync
  • On the desktop, go to the Bluetooth configuration and add a COM port for your incoming Bluetooth connection.
  • In ActiveSync, open the Connection Settings dialog, then select Allow connections to one of the following ports.
  • Select the COM port the Bluetooth device, then click OK.
  • On the device, start ActiveSync.
  • In the ActiveSync menu, tap Connect via Bluetooth.
You now have an ActiveSync connection.
