If the records are visible, but inside there are no messages, or if you see the list of messages in the folder is incorrect, then you must restore the messages from each of the old dbx files, and import them into Outlook Express.

Find all the dbx files of Outlook Express and create a reserve copy of these files.

For each record destroyed, and every old dbx file, follow this order of operations:
  • Open dbx file corresponding to the damaged file in OE-Mail Repair.
  • Dbx file repair and restore all messages.
  • Save e-mails restored to separate eml message files.
  • Delete the restored dbx files of Outlook Express folder. Start Outlook Express and click the folder, including the dbx file you just deleted, and Outlook Express will create a new empty dbx file automatically.
  • Select all restored eml files in Windows Explorer and drop / move them to the destination folder in Outlook Express.
