Re: Disable Win Key on Vista 64 bit

Open Registry Editor & then in registry editor, go to :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies

In the left shutter, click with the right button on the policies and click on New then on Key. Type Explore and press on Enter. If you have already a file of the same denomination, click simply on that file. In the right shutter, click with the right button on emptie zone and click on New and then on DWORD (32-bit) Value. Then write NoWinKeys and press on Enter. In the right shutter, click with the right button on NoWinKeys and click on Modify.
  • To Disable Windows Hotkeys - Type 1 and click on OK.

    OR

  • To Enable Windows Hotkeys again - Type 0 and click on OK.
Then Close the Registry Editor. Restart the computer to apply changes.

Hope This was Helpful...!

How to disable all Autorun features in Windows XP Home Edition and other operating systems (Server 2008 or Vista)

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For operating systems that do not include Gpedit.msc, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

  2. Locate and then click the following entry in the registry:

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\NoDriveTypeAutorun

  3. Right-click NoDriveTypeAutoRun, and then click Modify.

  4. In the Value data box, type 0xFF to disable all types of drives. Or, to
selectively disable specific drives, use a different value as described in the "How to selectively disable specific Autorun features" section.

  5. Click OK, and then exit Registry Editor.

  6. Restart the computer.

Re: Disable Win Key on Vista 64 bit

You can try WinKeyPlus. It can disable any key and maps commands to custom key shortcuts.
