Show Windows Explorer Title in Vista and Windows 7

Windows Vista users may have noticed that Explorer Title’s bar made empty in Vista, and same thing happened in Windows 7 as well.Yes, you can’t see the title of your opened window in Windows 7 explorer bar. Like when in Xp we open My Computer , title bar shows that we have opened My Computer.

But you can always restore this feature with a third party add on called AeroBar. This application which was designed for Vista, also works with Windows 7 and does not require any installation and when running, it shows the titles in Explorer. If you want to show only titles, place Aerobar.exe in Startup folder.

But if you want to show both title and name in the explorer bar, go to your Startup folder and rename Aerobar.exe to AeroBarIco.exe and reboot your system. That’s it. Now your system will show the currently opened window’s title in explorer bar, no matter if you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7.

    Using aerobar is very easy:-

    1. Just download Aerobar
    2. Place the file AeroBar.exe in your StartUp folder, if you want only Titles in Explorer and reboot.
    3. Rename the file AeroBar.exe to AeroBarNoIco.exe and then place it in your StartUp folder, if you want Titles only without icon’s space and reboot.
    4. Rename the file AeroBar.exe to AeroBarIco.exe if you want Titles and Icons both and again follow the same steps.

To remove Aerobar, simply End task "AeroBar.exe" from Task Manager.Removing this process will make explorer titles blank. Remember to restart the machine after starting this application to show titles.
