    Setting the network priority interface in Windows Vista

    In Windows Vista, the menu is always located in the same place but is no longer visible by default. in Windows XP it was easy to find the menu to manage the priority of network interfaces.

    To view it, simply activate the corresponding menu bar by clicking the Start menu and entering the following command:

    explorer.exe:: (7007ACC7-3202-11D1-AAD2-00805FC1270E)

    This command will direct the Network Connections window, also accessible from the following:
    • Click on the Start menu
    • Right click and properties on the "Networks"
    • In the window that opens, click on "Manage Network Connections" located on the left side

    It is a little longer but we come to the same place:
    Just a reply to say thank you for these links and posts I have a lot to read and learn now!

    Re: Setting the network priority interface in Windows Vista

    • To activate the menu bar which, among other things, manage the priority of network interfaces, simply click on the Management menu> Display and select Menu Bar.
    • Once this option is selected, you can see this famous bar menu:
    • The bar menu offers a lot of options for network management, including what we need here, changing the priority of network interfaces, menu Advanced> Advanced Settings
    • You finally have access to the management network interface and you can modify to suit the priority.
